Quickway is helping Sydney Water deliver critical water infrastructure to support the future population and economic growth of Western Sydney.

Quickway is pleased to announce it has been engaged by Sydney Water as the principal contractor to deliver the D&C contract of the Kemps Creek Dual Pressure Mains project (KCPM). We are now working in partnership with WSP Australia on the detailed design before commencing the construction of 6.8km-long dual pressure mains. This contract also includes the connections to SP1211 and the Upper South Creek AWRC facility. This major project includes several complex trenchless sections, with 880m-long dual HDDs under Kemps Creek Nature Reserve, and micro-tunnelling under Elizabeth Drive.

Quickway will deliver the staged construction of these dual wastewater pipes from the future sewage pumping station at Gurner Avenue in Austral up to the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre (AWRC) in Kemps Creek.

The KCPM project will improve wastewater services in the South West Growth Area (SWGA), one of the NSW State Government’s three designated growth areas in South West Sydney. This area will see substantial growth over the coming years, increasing from 2,300 dwellings in 2022 to approximately 38,000 dwellings by 2056.

In this important project for Sydney Water, Quickway will deliver an expedited program to successfully build and install this important water infrastructure.  Our teams have already begun system setups, resource mobilisation, team inductions, and the initial workshops.

Detailed Design work commenced in April 2024 and construction will begin later in the year.
